Frugal Places to Shop
1.) Sierra Trading Post: This is a great place to get discount name-brand clothing online. I have gotten many great deals at this store for items that I truly needed. Some of their items are what are termed 2nds, but I have never seen any blemishes or faults on any product I have gotten.
The key to this store is to wait for their sales. I often get emails from them for an extra 35% to 40% off of items. If you can wait to purchase an item, it is worth waiting until you can get an extra 35% off and either discounted or free shipping. My husband loves the Carhartt brand and I have been able to get work overalls for him at a deep discount.
If you would like to sign up through my referral code here, and you are a first time customer, Sierra Trading Post will send you an email for $10.00 off your first order, usually of $30.00 or more. This coupon can’t be combined with another coupon. I was originally told by customer service that you could, but when I called back yet again to triple check they said that wasn’t true.
2.) Our Lady of the Rosary Library: This is one of my all time favorite stores. They do not have an online shopping cart. You must mail in your order, however their prices are beyond excellent and I have been shopping with them for over ten years. In fact, as wedding favors for my wedding, I ordered about $100.oo worth of items from them that made lovely wedding favors for a lot of people. If you are in need of sacramentals and good spiritual reading, I highly recommend them. I am in no way affiliated with them nor is the link a referral link. I just highly recommend them from my years of shopping with them!
3.) Vitacost: This is a great store to buy vitamins, supplements, and some groceries. You do need to keep an eye on prices. Prices do change every once in a while. In order to get the most from this site make sure that you know your price points.
For example: I can get a bag of sorghum flour at Wal-Mart for $3.20 and at Vitacost, right now, I can get it for $2.80. At Wal-Mart I can get diabetic vitamins for my mom for around $20.00 and on Vitacost I usually get the exact same vitamins for $12.oo. Every bit of savings help, especially when it is something you have to buy anyway. If you don’t truly need something then not spending the money in the first place is my preference!
If you go through my referral link above Vitacost will email you a coupon code for $10.00 off your first order! Also, make sure that you go through Shop At Home or some such cash back site to get additional savings on your purchase from Vitacost. Shop At Home will sometimes have 10% cash back for Vitacost! In order to do this make sure to sign up for Shop At Home first and then follow their link to Vitacost. Do not close the pop up box that comes or it will not track your purchase through Shop At Home.
4.) One Kings Lane: This is a daily deal type of discount store. New sales happen daily and the type of inventory changes as well. However, some of their prices are much less than other stores. Not to mention they have some very cute items and toys for children. I love “window” shopping there until I find something that I really need at a great price. If you decide to go through my referral link you will receive $15 dollars off your first order of $30.00 or more. You can get some nice deals with that discount.
I will be slowly adding to this list of ways to save money. The stores I list are where I shop in order to keep within my budget. These stores may or may not work for you, but you may be interested in viewing them. Some of the websites do contain my referral link and some do not. I would love if you did go through my links, but even if you don’t, you can still type the names of the stores into your search engine and find them!
